About

I’m Thomas Roehrman, a self-taught systems architect and hardware IP designer. I started fixing computers at age 10 and never stopped building — working from physical first principles rather than inherited academic dogma.

My engineering work centers on microarchitectural security: designing clean, binary-native hardware security IP. Through Project Lavalamp I attack execution contention at the pipeline level, eliminating SMT side channels. In my partnership with BareAI I strip away legacy software bloat to bypass the Von Neumann bottleneck — an approach that follows my KISS engineering philosophy.

Alongside deep-tech, I’ve bootstrapped and run a commercial advertising and voice production business since 2010, using a specialized deep bass voice for high-impact brand work. More than a decade of real client execution keeps my engineering grounded in a simple philosophy: keep it simple, keep overhead low, and build high-margin, asset-light IP.
